a bow tie properly is tricky, so I’m loving this “how to” from General Knot & Co. The illustrated guide takes you step by step, and is surely a great reference to have bookmarked. And if your not the bow tie wearing type, then check out tips on mastering the half-windsor or four-in-hand knots. Look like you know what your doing (even if you don’t).

men’s accessories web shop that’s worth taking a look at. Opumo is stocked with some pretty killer bags, wallets, sunglasses, ties, socks and so much more. Even my hard to impress husband was in awe of the great selection they carry. So if fine menswear is your thing (or even if its not), Opumo is sure to be a great resource.
The Apprentice Pocket Square
guys can instantly become dapper by adding a pocket square (kind of comparable to wearing lipstick for the ladies). Not only is the print super, but so is the price – it’s only $12! The Knottery, which has instantly become my favorite for men’s accessories, has smart ties, belts, shoe laces and so much more. It’s very refreshing to see such stylish pieces that aren’t out of reach.

Gitman Vintage Overdyed Tartan Plaid Shirt $170
Gitman Brothers is reissuing their classic sport-shirts with their line called Gitman Vintage. Confused? Okay, here’s the deal – the company was established in 1978 and has a great reputation for making quality shirts and ties. Recently they had the idea of reworking prints from the past and applying details Gitman Brothers is known for like original double-track stitching, chalk buttons, locker-loops, box-pleats. An updated classic – quite timely seeing as it’s all about preppy these days.
