Aloha Rag X Converse Zip High-Top $120.00
this isn’t the only collaboration Aloha Rag will be doing to celebrate their 20th anniversary, but it is the first. The Hawaiian retail store that opened in ’91 has gained quite a following over the past 2 decades. They carry those hard to find, “it” brands in the world of contemporary fashion like Lanvin, Martin Margiela, Thomas Wylde, and Alexander Wang as well as young talent from around the world. Since it’s debut Aloha Rag has expanded – in addition to their Hawaii location, they have a boutique on Greenwich Street in New York as well as an online shop offers an awesome assortment of merchandise and membership perks. A limited run was made of this Converse X Aloha Rag collaboration, 140 pairs to be exact, so don’t think about it for too long or you’ll miss out!

on a passerby last weekend, and I had to ask where these shoes were from. Civic Duty Sneakers are made of Tyvek and environmentally friendly materials. Each season the company will be designing a shoe where 100% of the profits go to a great cause (Common Ground Relief is the organization currently benefiting). What better than comfort, style and doing some good to make these the perfect addition to any summer wardrobe.

Maybe I’m biased..
Bensimon Tennis Lacet Sneakers, $45
maybe not. Either way, one of my favorite people (my three-year old niece), has had a classic-style sneaker in her everyday rotation since she could walk and I think it just makes sense. These shoes by Bensimon work for so many styles, are totally practical, come in a TON of colors, and are a simple understatement to pretty much anyone’s daily wardrobe. They are made in Europe and also available in women’s and mens, so pick yourself up a pair.
Dave Ortiz of Daves WEAR House
that’s right boys, creative genius Dave Ortiz, is on to his next project. This time, he teamed up industry exec, Kevin Carney and businessman Victor Salerno to bring us the biggest thing to hit Chinatown since wontons. Sometime in May, Dave’s WEAR House will be opening their doors and Baxter Street will never be the same. The concept is quite brilliant – lots of cool collaborations, great prices and ways to interact with Dave from just about anywhere.. I’ll leave it at that for now. So mark your calendar and get ready, in the meantime, stay up on the latest news about the store by becoming a fan of Dave’s WEAR House
UPDATE: Dave’s WEAR House is open for business. Click here to read more about the shop.

Vans Chukka Del Barco Dec $75
these shoes – an updated take on the classic boat shoe. I like the detail and love the color.. been seeing more and more of that lighter brown shade and have a feeling, we’ll be seeing a lot more of it!
