CUPPOW

from Massachusetts took a canning jar and designed a leak free lid to turn an everyday glass into a travel mug. It’s called the CUPPOW, an inexpensive, durable and super easy to clean alternative to the paper cup and plastic lid or the typical travel mug options. The CUPPOW is BPA free, 100% recyclable and made in the USA. The founders, Joshua Resnikoff and Aaron Panone both use the product, a sign it does what it claims. A good sign indeed.

Tube Wringer

Who knew..

Tube Wringer, $27

Tube Wringer, $27

such a thing existed? The Tube Wringer must have been designed with people like me in mind. People who hate letting things go to waste. The Tube Wringer is made in Oregon by retired engineer, John Gill. It has a simple design that’s easy to use and consists of two aluminum rollers which are secured with a nickel-plated hardened steel body. So place any tube in there, turn the key and you’ve got up to 35% more of whatever’s in there.  Available at online shop, Kaufmann Mercantile – a store with a small assortment of quality products, like Gill’s Tube Wringer. Handy gadget to say the least.

Even the lumber comes from the local store that only supplies wood from sustainable forestry companies. Basically, they’re made with love, lots of love and quality materials. Sturdy, unique, functional, and super adorable little pieces of art. The only question out there is which color is it going to be?

Yuketen Maine Guide 5 Eye Boot

Yuketen Maine Guide 5 Eye Boot

from some of the best materials out there by the California based company, Yuketen. The west coast brand was founded by Yuki Matsuda in 1985 and originally was all about moccasins. Since then, the assortment has strategically grown and now includes luggage as well as footwear. This good looking shoe, the Maine Guide 5 Eye Boot is crafted from the most durable quality raw materials right here in the USA. Like all Yuketen products, it’s got solid details like a hand stitched upper, sewn on Vibram Christy outsole, metal eyelets, and leather laces. It’s a good looking, rugged boot that’s meant to be worn. Super classic, kind of contemporary and very cool.  Comes in loden green and is available at the Très Bien Shop, a very cool men’s store in Sweden. Pretty much the perfect boot for fall not to mention years to come.

Matt Singer Long Sleeve Shirt, $195

Matt Singer Long Sleeve Shirt, $195

jack spade employee, Matt Singer branched off on his own in 2009 to start his own line. It’s a small collection of everyday pieces that includes bags, shirts and accessories – everything from lighter covers to keyfobs and shave kits. The bags are made out of heavy cotton canvas and come in four distinct silhouettes: a tote, weekender, briefcase, and messenger.  Simple, clean designs that are made out of rugged materials with the intention of getting softer over time while managing to retain their shape. That same thought process goes into his shirts. Great prints  and solids made from two-ply cotton with tailored details like double-track stitching, curved hems and bevel cream buttons. Goods are made in the USA and are super practical, timeless and tasteful everyday staples.
