Guest Hunter, Peter Evans

This week..

Guest Hunter, Peter Evans

Guest Hunter, Peter Evans

we have Peter Evans joining us as a Guest Hunter. Peter lives in Kensal Rise, a neighborhood in North West London and works for Warner Music. Back in September 2011, he started a very cool men’s clothing and style blog, Send A Raven; which was a fairly natural progression once he was introduced to photography and realized most of his time was spent talking about clothes and stuff he liked.

In addition to style and photography, Peter also loves strumming a guitar and writing songs (totally worth checking out by clicking HERE). He’s got lots of good stuff to share, so KEEP READING and when you’re done here, be sure to take a look at his BLOG and TUMBLR page. Enjoy!!

Yoostore

If you haven’t already..

Yoostore

Yoostore

then it’s time to visit Yoostore. They’ve got kitchen supplies like the crafty farm chopping boards and sleek grinders. My personal favorite is the Wine-O. This genius wine rack can be stacked, used individually or hung on the wall. It is made from solid oak, and depending on your space can be positioned horizontally or vertically. Yoostore is based out of London, but with international shipping it makes it easy to bring these irresistible designs home.

You Must Create

Fairly new..

Hunting Knit

Hunting Knit

to You Must Create and am a total fan of the London brand.  YMC was founded in 1995 and they’re all about making solid pieces that are “beautifully tailored, ingeniously understated and full of hidden details”.  With the Hunting Knit, Camouflage Trousers, Norweigan Crew, Japanese Raw Selvedge Denim, and so many other great staples, it’s tough to not callout the entire collection. Perfect pieces that are not going to go out of style next week. Subtle statements; worth getting YMC on your radar.

kidsGo! Travel Guides

When in..

kidsGo! Travel Guides

kidsGo! Travel Guides

Phuket (or Bali, Hong Kong, London, New York, or Sydney) do as the locals do. Founded by three mothers in Hong Kong, kidsGo! travel guides were created with the entire family in mind. These guidebooks give the reader ideas for what to do on a family vacation in six popular destinations from around the world. In addition to serving up the standard travel criteria like the best (kid-friendly) restaurants and museums, they share interesting tidbits about the city including do’s and don’ts, historical facts, and handy maps. The illustrations are something to write home about and the site is super interactive, it’s even updated with the newest openings and must-try places in the “latest buzz” section. The result is content that’s never outdated and a site that’s totally relevant and perfect for a family getaway, so bookmark it and start planning.

Christopher Waller

I could..

Chris Waller AW11

Chris Waller AW11

live in those pants. Well, pretty much the entire Christopher Waller AW11 collection actually.  The London-based designer drew inspiration for fall from the minimalist artists of the late 50’s and 60’s and his pieces reflect exactly that.  Luxurious fabrics, that are beautifully made with just the right amount of detail and very, very wearable. Simple, super chic and perfect for transitioning from day to night.  Can’t wait to see what he’s got planned for Spring 2012.

LN-CC

The transition..

LN-CC, Fall 2011

LN-CC, Fall 2011

from summer to fall is always kind of fun for me. I LOVE summer, but as the stores start filling their shelves with deliveries from the upcoming season, it’s kind of hard not to get excited. After a few months of summer in the city, the cooler weather and the ability to wear bulky sweaters, leather jackets and loose fitting trousers (without have to bundle up too much) is kind of great. I’ve been thinking about fall since the meetings started to discuss the trends and key pieces but seeing the latest arrivals from UK shop, LN-CC, is really getting me quite excited for the cooler temperatures. With brands like Jil Sander, Christopher Waller, Junya Watanabe, Ohne Titel, P.A.M., Pow Wow, Maison Martin Margiela, and so many more it’s kind of hard not to be at least a little bit psyched.. right?

Kaori Ceramics

Introduced..

Kaori Ceramics

Kaori Ceramics

to Kaori Ceramics by Big Tomato Company really love what she’s doing. Kaori Tatebayashi grew up in Kyoto, Japan a city known for its ceramics so building was a part of Kaori’s life from a very early age. She now resides in London and has won countless awards for her work over the years. Kaori makes tableware that is super simple and elegant as well as s hand-built stoneware sculptures of everyday objects – like shirts, shoes and vases.  Each item has a ton of detail, very original and great additions to just about any room.

Caramel Baby & Child

Lawyer..

Caramel Baby & Child Lookbook

Caramel Baby & Child Lookbook

turned clothing designer and eventually, shop owner.  Not something you hear everyday, but in the case of Eva Karayiannis, the brains behind London based brand, Caramel Baby &  Child, we certainly are glad she made the switch. The line started about 7 years and has steadily gained a following by staying true to the brand – no PR silliness, just word of mouth and solid products. The collection is full of totally luxurious pieces that are modern and on-trend with a relaxed feel. Pretty timeless, perfect for a playdate or a family outing and not mass produced. With so many adorable outfits, it’s hard not to fall in love and real hard to pick a favorite look from the Spring/Summer lookbook. So many great options!

I Bet You Never Knew That

Been on a total mission..

Lucy Loves I Bet You Never Knew That Print

Lucy Loves I Bet You Never Knew That Print

for artwork for my apartment and it HAD to be navy. Seriously, I was stuck on that for some reason, so am pretty excited about finding Lucy Stephen’s shop on Etsy. The London-based artist is a book  designer who started a print-making business that has great art for the home.  I’m getting I Bet You Never Knew That for my bedroom – a clever way to learn somewhat random facts about Britain, but others like American Gastronomy and Boozy are on the list for when my kitchen gets a redesign.
