Eleven Paris Aztec Print Dress
summer has been all about comfort for me – and that means dresses. The Aztec Print Dress from Eleven Paris is pretty much ideal. It has an oversized cut, thoughtful details and just the right amount of edge. Basically an everyday piece that’s totally stylish without trying too hard. Not to mention, perfect for transitioning to the warmer weather with accessories like a pair of black booties. Once again, it’s just easy, and I’m sold.
Sun Gaze Maxi Dress, $388
the ideal piece for anything from a rehearsal dinner to a Saturday wondering around the city. This Maxi Dress from French Connection is made from silk chiffon. It comes fully lined, has a fairly high neck, spaghetti straps, and is offered in several colors (I’m eyeing the blue). Loving simple print and easy cut, it’s hard one to not add to my list of must-haves for summer 2012.

Zara April Lookbook
and little jackets as layering pieces for spring. They’re perfect to throw on with jeans and a tee to make a look your own. Zara’s April Lookbook has some good ones. Easy pieces, that are reasonably priced and make the statement we’re looking for.

Rag & Bone Racine Pant, $475
Rag & Bone’s Racine Pant for spring. The wide leg is something we’ve talked about (umm.. did ya read 70’s inspired fashion?) – such a great look and a refreshing change from the skinny pants. Throw on with a body hugging tank or a cropped sweatshirt, some wedges and chunky jewelry. Bright colors and the flowy silhouette make these a nice addition to the wardrobe for the warmer months. More good work, Rag & Bone!

Dusen Dusen Joanna Dress
good stuff from Dusen Dusen. I fell in love with a set of their pillows a few months back and am now drawn to this Nordic print dress by the Brooklyn designer. Shop Koshka is selling the versatile piece and it’s a tough one to resist. It’s made from 100% silk, has sleeves that are slightly rolled and seems like an easy one to dress up or down depending on the occasion. The roomy shape makes it great for belting, layering or just throwing on. Love the stand out print and gorgeous fabric.. it’s a good one!

COSMIC WONDER Cubic Tee
can be hard to find. COSMIC WONDER Light Source is a brand that launched in 2007 and thankfully they’ve made the search a whole lot easier. Someday Store carries a bunch of the brand’s sweatshirts, tees and accessories that are easy to throw on and make a statement. All pieces are made in practical colors, super soft fabrics and fabulous cuts. These roomy basics are pretty much anything but ordinary.

"I ♥ NY" & "HAVE A NICE DAY" Leather Corner Stone Bags, $178-$218
used to seeing these logos on plastic bags we get when we order delivery or go to the local deli, but Cast of Vices has made them their own. The innovative brand took recognizable logos like “HAVE A NICE DAY”, “THANK YOU” and (my personal favorite) “I ♥ NY” and made a totally legit everyday accessory. The Leather Corner Store Bags are made from genuine lambskin leather and embossed. They come in black or white and are pretty much the ideal way to carry your belongings, regardless of the season.

I want to live in this. The oversized tunic sweater from A’N’D’s latest collection comes in camel mohair and Pour Porter is selling it. If you haven’t heard of the online shop, check it out – they’ve got a killer assortment of apparel and accessories from lesser known designers much like this amazing top. I’m particularly obsessed with the elbow length sleeves and the silky fabric lining. Perfect with skinny pants or layering over almost anything.

ManiaMania THE SOURCE Bangle, $360
that’s available for preorder and one to get on asap. THE SOURCE Bangle is another smart creation from the talented duo, Melanie Kamsler and Tamila Purvis, the team behind Australian accessories label ManiaMania. Not only does it look cool (it’s got a double tusk-shaped Fossil stone that’s set in a bangle with an adjoining chain), this bangle does good. According to the site, Fossil stone is known for having a calming, soothing energy. It’s also promotes communication, helps to motivate, inspires creativity, and helps to give direction and the stamina needed to get things done. The perfect accessory and might even help me accomplish pretty much everything I set out to do in 2012.
Vlieger & Vandam Guardian Angel Clutch
fantastic find from former Guest Hunter Jamie Fisk. Jamie was wearing the Guardian Angel Clutch the other night and it immediately caught my eye. It’s by Dutch brand Vlieger & Vandam. In addition to launching new collections, founders Carolien Vlieger and Hein van Dam created their “Guardian Angel” collection to bring attention to the increasing violence in the media. All pieces have three-dimensional weapons embossed in the leather. Very cool, love the subtle uniqueness of the line.
