When a trio..
of talented artists get together, amazing things develop. Jennifer Fiore, Nina Lalli and Signe Yberg meet up weekly to create a beautiful collection of ceramics called Mondays. I want every one of these lovely pieces to call my own, but I also think they’d make pretty fabulous gifts as well. Find the full assortment of one-of-a kind bowls, cups, planters, platters & beyond here.
Rom & Ren Kids Handmade Tank Tops
cool basic from Rom and Ren Kids found on good old Etsy. This little set of tank tops has 2 entirely different prints; one shark teeth, the other hearts. Handmade and offered in 2 color ways (black/red or black/royal blue). Completely unisex in my opinion – girls throw on with a tutu, boys rock with your swim trunks. It’s one of those pieces that can be worn so many different ways. Sweet with a bit of edge, a total keeper.
even just looking at the pieces from The Velvet Bird make me feel pretty. Anything with a loose silhouette and peter pan collar instantly gets my attention, like these White Lola, Bookworm or Seafarer Dresses. They’re made to order and the prices are kind of amazing too. What’s even better is that 20% of all profits on handmade items go to Love146.org to fight and prevent human trafficking in the U.S. I’m smitten.

Makr iPhone Sleeve
gets many mentions on this site, but the fact is that they produce really beautiful products that hold up over time. And I’m sure this iPhone Sleeve is no different. It’s hand sewn, and has a slim shape to fit in a back pocket or into a bag. As an added bonus, if you hurry on over to Makr, they are currently having a little travel sale.
Tis the season..
Mary & Matt Neapolitan Bar, $10
for chocolates. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, chocolates, roses and all things related are on everyone’s radar. So whether it be a self purchase or a gift for someone special, one of my picks would be chocolates from Mary & Matt – a duo that’s really got a something. They use the highest quality ingredients and handmake chocolate bars in small batches. Each creation is a work of art (even the packaging), so the only issue is going to be what to buy?

Stark Cardigan, $378
line of winter pieces by S.N.S. Herning. The knitwear brand out of Denmark was founded in 1920 and it seems like they’re all about tradition. Back then, their target customers were fishermen in need of heavy, well made wool sweaters to wear during harsh weather. Today the company has 5 employees at their small factory, 3 of which are knitters and they only produce 2,500 sweaters each year. Timeless, classic, functional, and available at Stuart & Wright (one of my favorite shops in the old hood), so it’s got to be quality.

Nerikomi Chopstick Rests, $35
Motley makes these very cool Nerikomi Chopstick Rests. It seems like everything the brand produces are pieces of art and these Chopstick Rests are no exception. They’re handmade from clay and finished in a clear glaze. Available at Ashes & Milk, an online gallery that carries a solid selection of handmade pieces that are simple and clean in design. An ideal spot for lovely gifts you won’t find everywhere.

Berg & Berg Wool Knit Tie
because wedding season is coming to an end, doesn’t mean there won’t be reasons to throw on a tie in the upcoming months. Look dapper at holiday parties, work functions and family gatherings by picking yourself up a knitted tie from Berg & Berg. The brand is known for their line of handmade, quality products that use finest materials. In addition to ties, they make bow ties, scarves, pocket squares, socks, hats, and more. Regardless of the accessory, the patterns are timeless and the goods are really well made by the best niche manufacturers in Italy and Scotland. So with all of the love that goes into each item, the only question is which one’s it going to be?

Diemme Roccia Vet
designed as a hunting shoe, the Roccia Vet has been updated with lighter, more comfortable soles making it the perfect shoe for everyday wear. They’re from Diemme, an Italian company that was started by 2 brothers about twenty years ago. Over the past 2 decades, the brand has built a solid name in the industry and for good reason – the product is classic, well-made and designed to take a beating. It’s evident they take pride in their craftsmanship and all products are handmade in Italy from the best materials available. These mountain boot inspired sneakers are made from rugged suede with an extra soft cow leather lining and a vegetable latex footbed. Not to mention cool details like contrasting laces and heel. They’re designed to withstand the elements so these kicks are perfect for the crazy weather that’s coming our way. No surprise, but they seem to be going fast, so get on it guys.

Gold Dipped Crystal Necklace, $135
love these necklaces ever since coming across them on Pinterest a while back. I actually can’t stop thinking about them to be honest. They are handmade by Laura Lombardi and sold at Pigeon Toe in Portland, Oregon. Pigeon Toe carries a great selection of modern products that are made by companies who value the importance of creating ethically made, well-designed goods. Each necklace is made from a quartz stone that’s dipped in 24kt gold, so they vary based on the shape and size of quartz. Pretty much stunning and the perfect accessory – jeans, a tee and this necklace please!
