a man who can cook, and there is something to be said for a guy who can pull off one of these. The beautifully constructed aprons are hand-made to order in Brooklyn by Stanley & Sons. Check out the full story behind the brand here, and it’s definitely worth taking a peek at the bags while you’re at it.

Lemlem Printed Rustic Scarf
feeling less than inspired when it comes to women’s apparel lately. Either too much going on, not enough, weird fit, or simply just not special enough. The result is I find myself shifting the focus over to accessories like this standout scarf from Lemlem to update my look. It’s printed by hand in Ethiopia using hand carved wooden blocks. Simply badass.
Santa Fe Pillow
in Austin, Texas these pretty patterns by Leah Duncan would bring a bit of whimsy to any room. The pillow cover is removable (perfect if you have kids or happen to be a bit clumsy) and made of a cotton/linen blend. Leah Duncan is an artist and designer whose work includes lovely prints, tea towels, calendars, notebooks and scarves. Take a look at her shop here.

A little bit..
playful and a lot sexy, Relique is a lingerie line that was recently started by two NYC gals. Each piece is hand made, and the comfort factor is not lost in the pretty designs. I’m loving everything, but I’m especially keen on the reverse bleach-dyed Ursa bralette with diamond cutouts (anything tie dyed instantly gets my attention). These sassy styles are perfect for peeking out under those summertime dresses.

Iosselliani Gold Skull Earrings, $120
these gold skull earrings – I saw them this morning on Pinterest and am pretty into skull/diamond shaped black rhinestone combo. They are hand made by Iosselliani – an Italian brand that has a reputation for creating edgy but classic pieces by combining the modern with traditional through their use of metals and stones. Pretty perfect.

The Pretend Bear Doll
six, this Pretend Bear Doll would totally be on my “I need” list. This plush toy is made by an artist in Portland out of cotton, wool and wool-blend felt fabric. The sweetest part her little face is hand-painted. I mean, it’s a girl, it’s a bear, it’s a bandit.. who wouldn’t need it?
