Tomato Parmesan Soup
this tomato parmesan soup from the local farmer’s market and I just can’t get enough of it. The fresh ingredients include jersey tomatoes, garden vegetables, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. There are no preservatives and it is sealed to last on the pantry shelf (if you are lucky enough to have one of those) for up to a year. But it never seems to last more than a day in my home. It also comes in an awesome ball jar that can be repurposed once finished with the soup.

Farmer's Market Radishes
at the Renegade Craft Fair was filled with colorful veggies, fresh fruits, local honey and yummy snacks. My personal favorite were the radishes. Their vibrant color made me just want to nibble on one right on the spot! Not to mention, radishes have folic acid, potassium, ascorbic acid and plenty of vitamin B6. Really, what’s not to like? Here are a few recipes using the healthy root veggie as the main ingredient:
This glazed radish recipe is courtesy of Martha Stewart and is a really nice summer side dish.
A simple recipe from The Food Channel…radishes with sea salt.
Dagmar’s detox salad from Good Food.
Pickled radishes from The Kitchn, perfect on fish tacos. Enjoy!

It’s hard not to find..
the beauty in Ranunculus flowers. They have long been one of my favorites and with the warm weather upon us (fingers crossed), it has made me want to fill my apartment with the happy colors of this Ranunculus bunch. The NYC Flower district always has a great assortment, but I like supporting local so I can’t wait until the Spring farmer’s market comes to town.
