Halloween has come and gone. I’m embarrassed to admit I sort of struggled with Leni’s costume this year. I’m not exactly proud of it, but I was trying to influence her to dress up in something cute, creative and could be used year round – like the adorable cat dress above. She resisted and spiderman won BUT..
she rocked it!

Love Bird Bowl
Lacy Bluebird Bowls
my new favorites is Folksy, a site that showcases the work of UK designers and makers. It’s fun to browse the fab selection of goods, and one adorable little bird that might be neat to have around the house is this guy. It could be a nesting area for jewels or even used for serving snacks to visitors. For an even bigger selection of these hand crafted ceramics, check out all of the designer’s work here.

The Classics Gifting Kit
Erin of Knot & Bow on Etsy is a fan of brown paper packages, ribbon made of twine with pops of color that make a statement. So no surprise that her shop’s got everything to make it happen – from kits to confetti (and everything else one needs to have the prettiest wrapped package at the party). For cool, classy and oh-so simple gift-wrapping, Knot & Bow is worth remembering. Afterall, it’s all in the details.
In the early days..
we wrote about the hanging air plant and once again Mudpuppy brings more gems like the Terracotta Hanging Ceramic Pinch Pot. This little beauty is handmade in Denver, Colorado and is sure to liven up any room. It also currently comes with the air plant, great bonus!

Tiny Gold Stud Earrings by Elephantine
are a good way to go (Rene has a pair that I’m absolutely in love with). They work with everything, make such a simple statement and let other elements of the outfit stand out. These studs by Elephantine immediately caught my eye, they’re 14k gold-filled and the set includes: white topaz, blush cubic zirconia, and black spinel studs. With pink, white and black options, you’re covered for pretty much every outfit.
iPhone RETROMODERN Aged Leather Pocket Case
organized just got a whole lot easier with this find by European leather makers, portel, another shop on Etsy. This case hold credit cards, an iPhone, business cards, and whatever else makes sense. Made from leather that’s aged by hand to give it that rugged, well-worn, broken in look. It’s practical, rather cool and pretty much a no brainer.
Rom & Ren Kids Handmade Tank Tops
cool basic from Rom and Ren Kids found on good old Etsy. This little set of tank tops has 2 entirely different prints; one shark teeth, the other hearts. Handmade and offered in 2 color ways (black/red or black/royal blue). Completely unisex in my opinion – girls throw on with a tutu, boys rock with your swim trunks. It’s one of those pieces that can be worn so many different ways. Sweet with a bit of edge, a total keeper.
even just looking at the pieces from The Velvet Bird make me feel pretty. Anything with a loose silhouette and peter pan collar instantly gets my attention, like these White Lola, Bookworm or Seafarer Dresses. They’re made to order and the prices are kind of amazing too. What’s even better is that 20% of all profits on handmade items go to Love146.org to fight and prevent human trafficking in the U.S. I’m smitten.

Guest Hunter, Lindsay Meyer-Harley
Lindsay Meyer-Harley along for a week of Guest Hunting. Lindsay lives in Brooklyn, owns Children’s shop; Darling Clementine (which is absolutely adorably, by the way – lots of great local designers) and most importantly is mom to a 2.5 year old girl, Juliette.
Lindsay’s also very into design. When asked about her aesthetic, she has this to say: “I can’t pin it down, I like rustic and modern. Vintage and brand spankin’ new. Soft hues and pops of color. I like what makes me happy and some days that’s hot pink and other days cool greys.”. In addition, she’s a fan of lots of good stuff – from iced coffee to guacamole. Here’s what else made the list: “Days spent outside, watermelon in the summer and chestnuts in the winter, salty popcorn, loose boxy tanks and brightly printed pants. Hot pink nail polish, beachy waves and morning croissants.” From her must-checkout shop to what you’ve read so far, you can probably tell, she’s got style and individuality. So, READ ON. Once again, another Guest Hunter with some super cool finds!
