to You Must Create and am a total fan of the London brand. YMC was founded in 1995 and they’re all about making solid pieces that are “beautifully tailored, ingeniously understated and full of hidden details”. With the Hunting Knit, Camouflage Trousers, Norweigan Crew, Japanese Raw Selvedge Denim, and so many other great staples, it’s tough to not callout the entire collection. Perfect pieces that are not going to go out of style next week. Subtle statements; worth getting YMC on your radar.

mildly obsessed with the line GAR-DE when I was at a market appointment last spring. Anyone who has been to my apartment can attest; several of the looks from their Aw11 lookbook are on my bulletin board. Prior to seeing the fall collection, I hadn’t heard of the New York City brand, but they’ve made quite an impact. GAR-DE is made up of a diverse group of artists, producers and creators who draw inspiration from their urban terrain. So, no surprise, the collection is comprised of beautifully made pieces with edgy details, great cuts and fabrics that are gorgeous. Not to mention a really strong color palette and very wearable prints. Definitely one to get on your radar.

Ada Ada AW11
to Ada Ada by the lovely kids’ store Shuk-Shaka. The contemporary line is designed by three sisters and is full of high quality clothing for boys and girls from 0-6 years old. They use natural fabrics, simple designs and a clean color palette. The result is a collection that’s very wearable and super stylish. For Ada Ada, every season is an adventure and AW11 is no exception. The talented trio drew inspiration from children, focusing on their bravery and playful imaginations. The fall delivery is full of bold prints, unique fabrics including “suede like” knits and superb detail. The line’s got sophistication and just the right amount of edge, pretty much total perfection.

Chris Waller AW11
live in those pants. Well, pretty much the entire Christopher Waller AW11 collection actually. The London-based designer drew inspiration for fall from the minimalist artists of the late 50’s and 60’s and his pieces reflect exactly that. Luxurious fabrics, that are beautifully made with just the right amount of detail and very, very wearable. Simple, super chic and perfect for transitioning from day to night. Can’t wait to see what he’s got planned for Spring 2012.

fall 2011 is hitting stores and I am totally thrilled! Kids’ line Koolabah has introduced their latest collection and it should be hitting stores anyday. Much like spring/summer, it will not disappoint. Full of bold prints, unique silhouettes and the Japanese aesthetic we associate with this fantastic unisex brand for little ones. With oversized striped blazers, perfectly cut sweatshirts and cuffed leggings, the arrival is more than exciting. So be on the lookout, your kids’ will be happy you did.
