Guest Hunter, Kerry Irvine

So happy..

Kerry Irvine

Kerry Irvine

to introduce Kerry Irvine. She’s an abstract expressionist artist and fashion stylist who is based in the West Village of Manhattan. She has worked in the industry for over 17 years, and has a roster of clients including Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Nautica, FAO Schwartz and many more. Kerry’s mother was an artist who encouraged her to look deeply into the world around her and put to canvas whatever she saw. As an accomplished painter, Kerry so eloquently states that “I strongly believe that my love of fashion and clothing inspires my paintings. Dressing is like creating a painting. With each layer or piece of color and texture you add to your look, the more it evolves becoming a piece of living, breathing fine art.”

She’s talented AND intriguing, so CONTINUE READING to see what she has to share with us as this week’s Guest Hunter.

Rehabilitated Dishware by Sarah Cihat

Rehabilitated Dishware by Sarah Cihat

Rehabilitated Dishware by Sarah Cihat

Sarah Cihat’s Rehabilitated Dishware collection gained recognition in 2003 at the ICFF. The concept is quite smart: all plates are bought at second-hand stores and are then reglazed, refired and redesigned into works of art using Cihat’s artistic talent and high standards. The finished result is a product that’s way too cool to tuck away in a cabinet. Pretty much a series that’s perfect for a hallway or any wall that needs a little attention.. in a good way.

Mauro Baiocco

No surprise..

Mauro Baiocco

Mauro Baiocco

that Argentinian artist, Mauro Baiocco, has a major following that goes well beyond South America. Baiocco’s work has gained a ton of recognition in the New York street artist scene and it ranges from whimisical characters to edgier, darker pieces.  Available at Olga Guanabara, a furniture and art store that opened in Dumbo last spring.  The Brooklyn shop specializes in custom, home made furniture but also carries a curated collection of art and home goods that are super cool and worth the trip across the bridge.

I Bet You Never Knew That

Been on a total mission..

Lucy Loves I Bet You Never Knew That Print

Lucy Loves I Bet You Never Knew That Print

for artwork for my apartment and it HAD to be navy. Seriously, I was stuck on that for some reason, so am pretty excited about finding Lucy Stephen’s shop on Etsy. The London-based artist is a book  designer who started a print-making business that has great art for the home.  I’m getting I Bet You Never Knew That for my bedroom – a clever way to learn somewhat random facts about Britain, but others like American Gastronomy and Boozy are on the list for when my kitchen gets a redesign.
