Grilled Pepper Poppers

Grilled..

Grilled Pepper Poppers

Grilled Pepper Poppers

pepper poppers are a refreshing mix of three cheeses, along with a good kick of spice from the jalapeño. We had them as an appetizer while we grilled dinner on our roof deck – and then I barely ate my meal because I filled up on these guys. Anyway, find the recipe for these tasty starters here.

Tomatillo and Avocado Dip

Gotta..

Tomatillo and Avocado Dip

Tomatillo and Avocado Dip

love Real Simple. I recently came across their 10 Party Dips gallery, and once again, they didn’t disappoint.  All of recipes claim to be easy and use fresh ingredients that aren’t hard to come by. With my ongoing obsession with Mexican food, the Tomatillo and Avocado Dip is the first on my list to try. But all are worth giving a whirl.

Nacho Cheese Blend

Another winner..

Nacho Cheese Blend

Nacho Cheese Blend

from Savory Spice Shop. With just the right amount of kick, Nacho Cheese Blend is the perfect spice to have around when you need to whip up a quick appetizer. It’s so flavorful, and lately my favorite late night snack is popcorn with this blend added to it. Delicious!

Ricotta, Fig & Honey Crisps

Ricotta, Fig & Honey Crisps

appetizer? Saw this Ricotta, Fig & Honey Crisp recipe at Family Cookbook Project that sounds delicious AND easy! With only four ingredients you can whip this up in a flash, and impress your guests. Spread 1 tsp of fresh ricotta cheese on each of the 16 whole grain crackers or slices of bread. Top with a 1/2 of a fresh fig. Sprinkle each with a pinch of sea salt and drizzle with a 1/2 tsp of honey. No cooking and barely a mess to clean up, a simple one to add to the menu.

Dill Dip

My friends..

Dill Dip

Dill Dip

at Savory introduced me to Dill Dip. It’s probably one of the easiest, least expensive and tastiest appetizers you can make. You simply mix the Dill Dip blend (found at Savory Spice Shop of course) with some sour cream. Depending on which way you want to go, you can use low fat, fat free or regular. If you’ve got an extra five minutes, chop up a cucumber and add some feta cheese to the mix for a little extra flavor. Again based on your preference, slice a pepper or use crunchy potato chips for dipping. Delish!
