Guest Hunter, Peter Evans

This week..

Guest Hunter, Peter Evans

Guest Hunter, Peter Evans

we have Peter Evans joining us as a Guest Hunter. Peter lives in Kensal Rise, a neighborhood in North West London and works for Warner Music. Back in September 2011, he started a very cool  men’s clothing and style blog, Send A Raven; which was a fairly natural progression once he was introduced to photography and realized most of his time was spent talking about clothes and stuff he liked.

In addition to style and photography, Peter also loves strumming a guitar and writing songs (totally worth checking out by clicking HERE). He’s got lots of good stuff to share, so when you’re done reading his picks for us, be sure to take a look at his BLOG and TUMBLR page.  Enjoy!!

Rotary Apple Peeler

Rotary Apple Peeler

The Rotary Apple Peeler from Labour and Wait. To be honest, I am dubious as to how effective this contraption would be but it looks great and I really want a go at peeling, coring and slicing an apple with it.

HERS:

French Angel Ring Box

French Angel Ring Box

From The Paris Apartment Boutique, this French Angel Ring Box from 1900 is one of many classy, antique, obscure items you will find on offer. As well as jewellery boxes there are compacts, vintage frames, antique door handles and lots of other unique items.

HIS:

Bodywarmer Private White V.C.

Bodywarmer Private White V.C.

Private White V.C. is a brand that continues the love of all things heritage. Private Jack White was awarded the Victoria Cross in 1917 and after WWI was over he began an apprenticeship as a pattern cutter in Manchester, before eventually going on to own the factory. His great grandchildren now manufacture garments in the same factory, producing clothes that are inspired by his own military style and created by former Dunhill Menswear designer Nick Ashley. True heritage and stylish, well-cut clothing indeed.

Albam Ventile Parka

Albam Ventile Parka

Albam’s already confirmed reputation for producing well designed, quality garments will grow even further with their latest winter collection. A stand out for me is this Ventile Parka, featuring a dropped back hem and articulated sleeves in burgundy. Perfect for the winter season and fitting right in with Scandanavian styling.

I sort of wish they did these in my size…no, I don’t really…OH, OK, YES I DO!!!

FOOD:

The Cupcake Company

The Cupcake Company

I am not exaggerating in the slightest when I say that these cupcakes actually make you a little bit high. Not sure if that’s down to the sugar content or just how good they taste but either way, they really are something else. My personal fave is the chocolate but the carrot cake is up there. I haven’t had the giant cupcake yet but my birthday is in September..if anyone fancies doing the honours.

GREAT THINGS:

Brooks B17 Titanium Saddle

Brooks B17 Titanium Saddle

Brooks have been making leather saddles since 1866, and this model (Brooks B17 Titanium Saddle) has been on the market for 100 years. A timeless classic that will make sure you are comfortable and looking dapper at the same time.

  2. Just been to Lambs Conduit Street for the very first time….WHERE HAS THAT STREET BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!?? An idyllic row of independent cafés, boutiques, and homeware stores all selling fantastic stuff. The Private White V.C. store is a real gem.

Boasts a great story and an even better product! Think their factory actually made Albam’s Ventile Parka whilst I know they make the Brooks Rain Cape that i picked up from the nearby Condor, last season.

Not enough credit or recognition going out to British manufacturers….Private White, I salute you!!
