Here she is..
Lisa Chang, this week’s Guest Hunter! Rene and I met Lisa while working for Tommy Hilfiger years back. We all worked in the eCommerce Department, Lisa was part of the Creative Team. She been in the industry for a number of years now and worked at other fashion companies like Ralph Lauren, Saks, Ann Taylor, and is currently at Estée Lauder. Lisa’s super laid back, a total individual, pretty much the epitome of cool. Oh, and she’s not afraid to crack herself up, which in my opinion is one of the best qualities out there! Lisa lives in Ossining, New York with her adorable son, dog named Lucy and husband Matt. She adores spending time with her family, and would love to open a wildly successful brew pub with Matt and friends one day. A fantastic idea from such a talent, so be on the lookout! In the meantime, keep reading to learn about her picks.
Love love love Marimekko! The bold colors of this fabric wall hanging print suit us perfectly & really makes a statement — an inexpensive alternative to real “aaaaahhhhrrrtt”.
When we were creating our son’s nursery, I knew we wanted to paint it a bright yellow color, but wanted to find a non-toxic paint without those nasty fumes. Mythic Paint’s “Sunny Outlook” was the answer.
I guess last year or two years ago is when Swedish Hasbeens made a come back. The colors & styling are so great & even comfortable! I became an addict. I first got an awesome pair of High Heeled Jodhpurs in burgundy & then fell head over heels for an orange pair of Peep toe Super Highs & gently “hinted” at what a great Mother’s Day gift they’d be… It’s been so nice to break them out again this summer. They are just the thing to add a spot of sunshine to your outfit.
I met Paul on Metro North a couple years back — we bonded over shoes & our design experience. He was the founder of NaNa shoes! Remember them??!! Man, the 90s were great! Paul recently launched his own shoe company & they are super super cool — hand-crafted & environmentally sound. For the fall, I need to get me a pair — but which ones? I’m leaning heavily towards the Crosswalk Cap Toe Oxford or the Crosswalk Four-In-One Boot. Hmmmm… decisions, decisions!

Paul makes men’s shoes too!!! Me thinks my husband needs a pair as well…
My husband got into using a double-edge safety razor a couple years ago & let me tell you… when he’s done, his face is as smooth as our son’s bottom. No lie! He gets the best shave & keeps the stubble at bay for longer too. In addition to the killer shave, they are available in all kinds of cool vintage designs — & so are the shave brush & shave soaps!
There is no shortage of incredibly adorable clothes, toys, decorations, shoes, things for kiddos these days! Flensted Mobiles are perfect for kiddy rooms — heck, even adult ones! We love our happy whales mobile — they’ve got lovely smiles, it’s contagious.
Fresh herbs are so abundant in the summer, you gotta take advantage! I made this for a family BBQ — it was sooooo yummy & easy too!!!
Okay, so tis nowhere near the season, but when winter comes around, so do these bad boys. My husband’s words: “They’re crack.”
Bold & graphic patterns are my absolute fave. I’m always drawn to them no matter what the object is. I’ve been a die-hard Orla fan forever. This book is full of gorgeous images. Perfect coffee table book, though I can’t keep mine on ours, because Desi will destroy it! So it’s up high on a shelf, but within easy reach of mommy for inspiration.
