from Paris is Elodie Rambaud – a very chic, well traveled, food loving lady who just so happens to be this week’s Guest Hunter! Elodie was born in the City of Light and spent her entire childhood in France. As a kid, the stylist travelled with her family to amazing places like Italy, Spain, Tunisia, and Egypt. Her passion for seeing the world continues as she loves learning about new places, being on her own and meeting new people. At the age of 22, Elodie moved to London where she worked for a year. An opportunity to freelance for Fauchon brought her back to Paris, but she still had the travel bug and took off to Australia in the mid 2000’s where she worked for a number of food and interior design magazines. The jetsetter is now back in Paris where she styles for magazines and cookbooks.
So, it’s pretty clear, Elodie likes to travel; she also loves to exercise, spend time with friends and food.. a girl after our own hearts! She’s got great taste (as you can tell from her WEBSITE and BLOG) so keep reading to get the inside scoop into what’s new, cool and not just “of the moment” from a true Parisienne!
I really like french designer Caroline Gomez’s furniture and style, very simple and fresh in colours. Here is one of her tables in the series called contre (which means against).
The french organic linen brand called Couleur Chanvre. The texture is very soft and the colour range makes you feel like having them all.
I just saw the latest collection by French jewelry maker Marion Vidal and I love it. It’s very graphic and the colours she picks are always very pretty. She is opening a shop in Paris next week two doors from where I live! Now just looking forward to her summer collection that is available at end of January!
I love the very stylish and simple new shoes for kids from Clotaire. The quality is great and the price is affordable, only 58 euros. The 50’s schoolboy’s shoes inspired the design of those boots, colours are great. You can change the lace colours. They will soon become a classic.
In Paris I will recommend the shop Serendipity, they have great products. The store works closely with new designers and have a selection of products that you barely find somewhere else.
It’s probably because it’s rainy and grey today in Paris so I feel like something sweet but I will recommend some organic food that’s truly delicious. It’s a French brand called Marlette created by two sisters Margot and Scarlette. All organic, with real good quality chocolate, you only have to add eggs and butter and no one will notice that it’s a cake mix. I love it! Sorry the directions are in French…
I also really enjoy those little puff pastries from Popelini. They have a shop in Paris. You should stop by if you’re in Le Marais.
Something that I use and that I really like is the chocolat Mask by French organic cosmetic brand Themis. It smells good and I find it quite funny to spread chocolate on my face, the result is pretty amazing too!
