For Now

As you..

may have noticed, we’ve been a bit absent from blogging lately. With the holidays in full swing and the everyday aspects of life taking priority, it has just made it a bit hard to keep up. But we’re not disappearing entirely, rather taking a little hiatus to get back on track. We hope you love reading threetwentyeight as much as we love writing it, and will return when we do.

Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing..

everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the days off and the incredible food, but this is a nice way to remember what the holiday is really all about.

Don’t forget Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24th, an important day to get out there and show your support!

The Wild Unknown Tarot Deck

It’s pretty..

much a given that both Megan and I are always up for a spiritual reading (hopefully a positive one). Which is why I can’t wait to get my hands on a deck of these Tarot cards from The Wild Unknown. With engaging designs it makes them hard to resist, believer or not!

More Ways to Help

Although..

this week we went back to our regular scheduled posts, it is very much on our minds that so many people still need help here on the east coast. It’s remarkable to see everyone doing what they can to pitch in, and there has been a lot of goodness going on from bake sales, to coat drives to volunteers helping rebuild homes. So continue spreading the love and check out two more (among SO many) awesome organizations… Operation Sandy Claus and Lava Surf Girl.

Composting Guide

Finally going..

to start composting. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, but the time is finally right. Inspired by my mom (I remember her composting when we were young), Megan’s folks, and just trying to do my part to make our home more environmentally friendly. Mrs. Meyers has an awesome guide to composting that I’ll be referencing, and will definitely be checking back with the successes and fails I encounter along the way.

Sleep No More

In..

Sleep No More

Sleep No More

New York or heading this way? Go see Sleep No More. I’ll be honest, I haven’t yet, but I think I’m the exception at this point. Apparently it’s amazing and no two people have quite the same experience. Enjoy, I guess it’s like nothing else out there.

The Classics Gifting Kit

Curator..

The Classics Gifting Kit

The Classics Gifting Kit

Erin of Knot & Bow on Etsy is a fan of brown paper packages, ribbon made of twine with pops of color that make a statement. So no surprise that her shop’s got everything to make it happen – from kits to confetti (and everything else one needs to have the prettiest wrapped package at the party).  For cool, classy and oh-so simple gift-wrapping, Knot & Bow is worth remembering. Afterall, it’s all in the details.

Bill Cunningham New York

Watched..

Bill Cunningham New York

Bill Cunningham New York

Bill Cunningham New York last week. The documentary is about the unassuming yet extremely talented, down to earth New York Times fashion photographer, Bill Cunningham. It’s completely fascinating and a must-watch, even for those who aren’t obsessed with fashion. At the end of the day, it’s about a passionate man doing what he loves and that’s a lesson we can all learn from!

New Amsterdam Market

So..

New Amsterdam Market

New Amsterdam Market

those Black and Blanco cookies I mentioned yesterday are one of the many amazing discoveries I came across on a recent trip to the New Amstersdam Market. The Market runs every Sunday from 11am – 4pm at the old Fulton Fish Market in Lower Manhattan (right on South Street). The list of vendors is totally impressive, so go hungry and be ready to make it part of your Sunday routine!
