is for the cooking novice like myself. An incredibly easy recipe found while flipping through the most recent issue of Whole Living. My child is a very picky eater so I have to use some trickery when offering up healthy snacks – however she does surprisingly loves these. But it’s the perfect time of year to make Apple Chips, since fall is apple picking season (find a great resource here).
It’s better to use sweeter apples (I prefer honey crisps), but all you need to do is slice the apples of your choice crosswise 1/8 inch thick and remove the seeds. From there you simply heat the oven to 225 degrees, and bake them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 1 1/2 hours. Flip the chips then continue baking for about another hour until crisp. Such a tasty and simple snack!
dressing up a kid’s room (before they are opposed to what YOU want). For me, keeping it kid like without going overboard is the way to go. Mimi’s circus has some new posters that will add a bit of whimsy while still keeping it in check.

It’s no secret..
that we love The Knottery, so it goes without saying that we are quite fond of this deer tie. It’s a limited edition release over at another one of our favorites, Of A Kind. What guy (or girl for that matter) wouldn’t look simply adorable in one of these?

a long hot summer, fall is a welcome change. And of course along with the change of the season comes the cool weather wardrobe. Trying to mix and match pieces that are current but classic so you can keep them in the line-up for a long time to come (maybe even forever!). Here is what’s on my wishlist..
1/Wellington Oversized Jumper 2/Gold Zip Pouch 3/Ruby Rose Ring 4/Destroyed Skinny Jean 5/Dunaway Hat 6/Tinted lip Conditioner – color wild child 7/Black Suede Booties. Check out a guest post I did over at this great newsletter!
a source for the coolest men’s gear, Trés Bien Shop will be carrying a line I’m really looking forward to checking out. The Nike Gyakusou Fall/Winter 2012 collection seems to be tailored, stylish and totally functional workout wear. Eagerly awaiting the mid-October release.
the bold and colorful collection from Paul Farrell. The UK-based artist and designer is inspired by color, nature and form to create his work. And if you’re as smitten as we are, you can shop the full assortment of cards, textiles and prints here.

Ferm Living New Collection
to see the new collection from Ferm Living. We dressed our dining room walls with the feather wallpaper and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. So, the new fall/winter 2012 collection leaves me wanting more Ferm Living in my home. They have an all new bath line, as well as some other killer pieces like pillows, baskets, flower pots, tea towels and SO much more. Check it all out here.

Boy By Band Of Outsiders
Girl By Band Of Outsiders
talking to a friend about how he’d like to change-up his look and try something new with his style. I agreed that I’d like to do the same, but realized this may be a big challenge for me (as I sit here writing in my cut off shorts and tee that I’ve been living in the entire summer). However, if I could dream up the wardrobe I’d like for fall it would be almost every piece from either Girl By Band of Outsiders or Boy By Band Of Outsiders. I love how every style just feels effortless and chic. Although my budget would barely allow anything from this line, I’m still a big fan.
