the The Shaved Ice Shop has piqued my curiosity ever since learning about the Hester Street Fair vendor. This treat seems like a total indulgence and like no dessert I’ve ever seen or eaten before. It was inspired by something I know nothing about, the open-air night markets in Taiwan and is a blend of shaved ice, condensed milk, a scoop of green tea ice cream or mango sorbet. Top it off with a wide variety of toppings which includes fresh fruit, granola, caramel corn as well as more unique Asian flavors like red beans, mixed jelly and matcha mochi. Everything is made in small batches, seems totally delicious and anything but your normal bowl of ice cream. Can’t wait to try it out!
