Stonewall Kitchen, you know they are all about using the finest local ingredients to make products that are not only delicious but also really well packaged. The company started in 1991 by selling, what is now recognized as their signature jams, at a Farmer’s Market on the Seacoast of New Hampshire. Over the years, Stonewall Kitchen has not only expanded their following but also their product line – in addition to a larger assortment of condiments, household items and baked goods, they also have a cooking school at their home office in York, Maine.
I’ve been up in that area this week and was lucky enough to attend a class with one of my favorite people (my mom), and have to say – it’s a “must-do” event! Classes are offered on an almost daily basis and are not only informative, but interactive and a lot of fun. Everyday’s a different menu and cuisines range from Kickin’ Korean to Lobster Lovers’ Heaven (we attended Luscious Vegetables with Donna Speirs) and everything in between. The chefs as well as the staff are super experienced and really passionate about what they do – which resonates throughout the class.
